Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away…

I know I promised to update once a week and I’m sorry if I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit.

Project 2525’s d12 system in on the docket right now for completion, one completed we should have something playable game play wise and will hopefully be opening up the floor for alpha testing in a month or two. I’ll keep you posted as things progress.

-Minor Update-

As a quick reference I’ve added two more parked domains to the site this is an attempt to beat the domain squatters to setting up fake search engine sites or buy the domain then not move off of it for $600.00 at the very least.

You can access the site now from these domains:

  • - www.jcgnorth.info
  • - www.contacthazard.com
  • - www.contacthazard.us
  • - www.contacthazardstudio.com

I plan to update the site more this week, my goal is to get atleast the Studio Info page, and the Project: 2525 page completed. Its a bit to early in fact I and a few friends may be the only ones who read this site at this point but, I would like to add forums, online store, and maybe even a web comic in the future as things pick up.

Until then I’ll keep you posted.

Welcome to Contact Hazard Studios

As you may have noticed if you’ve been visiting the site, or are a current or former staff member of JCGnorth that the studio has gone through a bit of a revamp. Originally JCGnorth was JCGamers before I lost the domain after Drive-X Computers went out of business.

For those of you who might have been wondering what the J C G stood for it was really an evolution of an acronym. Jedi Council Gamers Clan was the first iteration. The second iteration was Just Computer Gamers, which was fine until we lost the domain name after our ISP went out of business the domain name went with them.

Just Computer Gamers North or JCGnorth.info was my solution to this problem, at the time .org, .net, and .com had been bought out by a domain squatter. The name worked for a while when a large focus of our work was InDi Computer Games back when Chris Drouin was on board as a programmer. Unfortunately between school, and a change in direction when Chris Judd and I converted a MMO project we where working on into a pen and paper role playing game.

Just Computer Gamers South-West was developed after I moved to Arizona to attend Collins College working towards my Game Design Degree. I had meet a new group of friends and we tried to form another InDi computer game company called “Our Own Little Coo”. Unfortunately that did not last more then a year, and in the aftermath Heaven Sent Gaming - a Christian based game company founded by Mario Lucero.

Truth be told JCGnorth (Just Computer Gamers) the acronym didn’t work with the direction I wanted the site to take. Also the site has had alot off history and bad luck attached to it, I wanted a fresh start and a more memorable name. originally I was gonna name the company Hate Strike but I can only imagine what type of audience that would bring. Sounded more like political forum community then a development studio.

For some reason Contact Hazard stuck, as a security guard I’ve worked in a lot of Industrial complexes and have read almost every type of warning and danger sign imaginable. Not to mention a crap load of motivational posters and MSDS books. Its amazing what one can accomplish in all of one night shift.

In Other News:

  • -Updated Studio Info page
  • -Added text to Project 2525

-Will Post More as New Developments Arise-

More Updates…

Been a week since I’ve last posted… Here’s the weekly update as to whats new in the world of JCGnorth…

  • - Configured Staff Wiki
  • - Added new link Joe in Japan on the sidebar under the Friends Category
  • - Updated Studio Info Page
  • - Created Project 2525 Page

I plan to update the page at least once a week with perhaps a progress report, as far as Project 2525 is concerned. Its my goal to post samples and long with posting important information like beta testing events for example on to you the visitor. I know that if you don’t post at least something interesting you’ll never keep an audience. Right now I don’t have everything put together and between work and sleep my free time as of late has been eaten up. I hope to get the bulk of the site finished this week. Until then…

-More to Come-

JCGnorth.info Version 2.0

Welcome to JCGnorth.info home of JCGnorth Design Studios located out of the Great State of Maine. I’d first like to give a shout out to our new web host  SiteGround. We decided to go with SiteGround because they offered more server space, a large amount of server space, and at cheaper cost.

The site itself for the most part hasn’t changed from its former location, some could argue this is the 4th rebirth of the damn thing. Its evolution from a Counter Strike Clan Site hosted by Drive-X Computers which no longer exists unfortunately to a server on hosting insiders as an InDi Computer Game Design Company. Then after a rough break up over a failed MMO concept which was then transformed into a Pen and Paper role playing game for Dilly Bean Green Games, the site was transformed into a personal blog for my game design portfolio.

Now in its fourth conception here on SiteGround’s Servers JCGnorth is currently a design studio composed of a staff of talented writers and designers who focuse on the development of Pen and Paper RPG’s. Currently JCGnorth is working on a Sci-Fi space opera pen and paper rpg simply tittle 2525 for Bawn Shaunts Deisgn Studio. Hopefully the fourth time is a charm…

-Stay tuned-
